Whole-House Customization Basics
What does whole-house customization include?
Whole-house customization means planning cabinets, furniture, storage and finishes across multiple rooms as one coordinated home. For Avrelahome, this may include kitchens, wardrobes, walk-in closets, living room storage, entryway cabinets, bedroom furniture, dining furniture and other room-specific pieces.
Can I customize only one room instead of the whole home?
Yes. A single kitchen, bedroom wardrobe, living room TV wall, entryway cabinet or apartment storage upgrade can be reviewed. Small projects may have higher relative packaging and shipping costs, so the quotation should be evaluated by room scope and destination.
Is Avrelahome suitable for villas, apartments and regular homes?
Yes. Villa projects usually focus on whole-home consistency and higher specification details. Apartment projects focus more on space efficiency, storage and measurement accuracy. Standard homes often sit between the two, with a mix of room-by-room upgrades and coordinated furniture.
Do you sell loose furniture as well as built-in cabinets?
Yes. Avrelahome can review loose furniture such as sofas, beds, dining tables, chairs, TV stands and coffee tables, as well as built-in cabinets and whole-room packages. The best approach depends on whether the item must fit a fixed space or can remain freestanding.
Space Planning
Questions a Home Designer Would Ask First
What information should I prepare before asking for a quote?
Prepare a floor plan if available, room photos, rough wall dimensions, ceiling height, preferred style references, appliance sizes, storage needs and destination city or port. For apartment projects, also check elevator, stair and corridor access for large panels or furniture.
How do you plan storage for a small apartment?
Start with daily routines: shoes and coats at the entry, kitchen appliance storage, wardrobe hanging and drawer ratio, cleaning tools, luggage, seasonal items and visible clutter zones. Good apartment storage should save floor area without making the room feel visually heavy.
What are the most common design mistakes in custom cabinets?
Common mistakes include ignoring door swings, blocking sockets, placing drawers where appliances need clearance, underestimating deep-corner storage, using too many open shelves, and confirming production before site measurements are clear.
How should I choose between built-in and freestanding furniture?
Built-in furniture is useful when storage, wall alignment and space saving matter. Freestanding furniture is better when flexibility, easier replacement or rental-friendly installation is more important. Many homes use both.
Can you match the style across kitchen, wardrobe and living room furniture?
Yes. Color, material, handle style, panel proportion and furniture scale can be coordinated across rooms so the home feels unified without every room looking identical.
Pricing
Cost, MOQ and Quotation
How is the price calculated?
Pricing depends on room scope, dimensions, material choice, finish, hardware, accessories, countertop requirements, packaging method, order quantity, delivery destination and installation support requirements. A reliable quote needs drawings or clear measurements.
Do you quote by linear meter, square meter or the whole project?
It depends on product type. Cabinets may be estimated by linear meter, projected area, expanded panel area or itemized cabinet units. Loose furniture is usually quoted by item. Whole-house projects are normally organized by room and product category.
Can you give a rough budget before final drawings?
A rough budget range can be discussed after you share room type, approximate dimensions, product list, material direction and destination. Final pricing should be based on confirmed drawings, finishes, hardware and packaging requirements.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
There is no single MOQ that fits every product. One-room projects can be reviewed, but very small overseas orders may have higher unit cost because packaging, handling and international delivery are shared across fewer items.
Does the quote include hardware, countertop, shipping, duties and installation?
Not automatically. A proper quote should clearly show what is included: product cost, hardware, countertop if any, packaging, shipping term, destination charges, taxes or duties, and installation responsibility.
How many design revisions are included?
The revision scope should be confirmed before quotation. In most projects, layout and finish adjustments are expected before final production drawings are approved. Major redesigns after confirmation may affect timeline and cost.
Materials
Boards, Finishes and Hardware
What materials can I choose from?
Common options include plywood, MDF, particle board, veneer, melamine, lacquer, laminate, glass, aluminum, stone, sintered stone, fabric, leather and solid-wood components. The right selection depends on room use, budget, climate, maintenance and design style.
Can you provide environmental or material documents?
Available documents depend on the selected material, supplier and destination market. If your project requires a specific report or standard, send the requirement before quotation so Avrelahome can confirm whether supporting documents are available for that order.
How should I choose cabinet hardware?
Choose hardware based on daily use frequency, weight, door size, drawer load, soft-close requirements and budget. Brand-specific hardware should be confirmed in the quotation only when selected for the order.
Which finishes are best for kitchens and bathrooms?
Kitchens need surfaces that are easier to clean and suitable for heat, oil and moisture exposure. Bathrooms need moisture-conscious substrate and edge details. Exact material choice should be confirmed by room condition and maintenance expectations.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Sample availability depends on material type and project scope. Finish samples, board samples or door samples can usually be discussed before final confirmation, especially when color and texture matching are important.
Remote Projects
Measurement, Production and Delivery
Can you work with clients outside China?
Yes. Avrelahome can review overseas inquiries and prepare production around confirmed drawings, specifications and delivery requirements. Destination details should be discussed early because shipping, documents and installation arrangements affect the project plan.
Who is responsible for site measurement?
For overseas orders, site measurement is normally provided by the client, designer, contractor or a local professional. Avrelahome can review drawings and ask clarification questions, but final production dimensions must be approved before manufacturing.
How are the products packed for shipping?
Products can be flat-packed, knock-down packed, semi-assembled or project-packed depending on item type and delivery plan. Labels, hardware kits, packing lists and protection requirements should be confirmed before shipment.
What shipping or trade terms can be used?
Trade terms depend on destination, order scope and logistics arrangement. Common options may include factory pickup, port-based shipping or destination-related arrangements, but the final term must be written clearly in the quotation or contract.
How long does production and delivery take?
Timeline depends on drawings, material availability, order quantity, production complexity, packaging method and destination. Do not rely on a fixed lead time until the project scope and production schedule are confirmed.
Installation
Installation Responsibilities
Does Avrelahome provide installation?
Avrelahome can provide drawings, labels, packing lists and remote installation guidance. Local on-site installation outside China is not automatically included and must be confirmed separately by project.
Can my local contractor install the cabinets or furniture?
In many cases, yes, if the products are supplied with clear drawings, labels and hardware lists. The local installer should review the drawings, wall condition, floor level and site access before installation begins.
Can you send an installer to another country?
This must be confirmed case by case. Some projects may only need remote guidance, while larger projects may require local partners or project-specific supervisor support. Availability, cost and responsibility should be agreed before ordering.
What should be checked before installation?
Check wall dimensions, floor level, ceiling height, electrical and plumbing positions, door access, elevator access, room humidity and whether the site is ready for fixed furniture installation.
After-Sales
Warranty, Damage and Replacement Parts
What warranty do you offer?
Warranty terms should be confirmed in the quotation or contract because they depend on product type, material, usage environment and installation responsibility. The warranty should clearly state what is covered and what is excluded.
What if products are damaged during shipping?
Take photos of packaging, labels, damaged parts and the unloading condition as soon as possible. Replacement or claim handling depends on packaging records, shipping terms, insurance and carrier responsibility.
What if the size is wrong?
Responsibility depends on the approved drawings, final measurements and production records. This is why final drawings and dimensions must be reviewed carefully before production starts.
Can you provide spare parts later?
Spare parts can be reviewed if order records, drawings and material references are available. For project clients, keeping a spare hardware and finish record is recommended.
